This postcard features our weaving shed fully decorated with bunting, balloons & flags in honour of the Coronation of George VI; the perfect backdrop for our Horsfall team of the time.
We're extremely proud of our long and illustrious textile manufacturing heritage, and with 2023 being John Horsfall's 160th year, we want to take this opportunity to celebrate all of the John Horsfall team, past and present!

Today marks the historic Coronation of King Charle

Today marks the historic Coronation of King Charles III - the official coronation emblem "speaks to the happy optimism of Spring and celebrates the beginning of this new era for the United Kingdom", states its designer Sir Jony Ive KBE.
The emblem which will feature throughout the celebrations, pays tribute to the natural world, unifying the flora of the four nations of the United Kingdom; the rose of England, the thistle of Scotland, the daffodil of Wales & the Shamrock of Northern Ireland. Together, creating the the shape of St Edward's Crown with which the King will be crowned today.
